The one about the US navy in the Irish sea...... at Tims Times

I heard this told as a joke years ago, then some clever Swedish guy made an ad for Silva compasses with it!

It has been on Swedish TV, not so sure it would go down so well in Amurikay!

A quick poll around reveals this one to be enormously popular with USMC and USCG types.

Good man Buck, you are not the only one as thanks to Devin who rightly points out that the Marines and Coast Guard have a great laugh at this one at the expense of the navy types. A typical example of what the Swedes call “skadeglädje” which badly translates to malicious pleasure (glee) in English, or schadenfreude as the Germans say.
The Swedish say that the only true pleasure is malicious pleasure….I’ve heard anyway!
