Tunisia cars

When I was a youngster the da had a 404, in fact he had 2, one was a ‘72 or ‘73 the other a ‘76 or there abouts, one was driveable the other was just gathering dust and being slowing eaten by rust and cannabalised for parts. Last year in Sousse I saw them all over the pace as taxis and camionettes and of course ordinary cars, it was like a blast from the past or being an extra in a ’70s film. The picture below though shows the old Peugeot and the new side by side.

The merc I just thought was too cool, a real arab gangsta mobile, all that was missing was the plo scarves marlboros and AK47’s.
