Distant shot of the ship that was lying on it’s side in Antwerp taken through a lens of a binoculars. She is in dock in Antwerp being repaired after her capsizing IMC has a detailed report. http://www.imcbrokers.com/blog/2007/11/19/repubblica-di-genova-towed-to-drydock/
I was tempted to get closer but that would have meant breaking and entering, trespassing and ISPS infringement, so cowardice being the better part of valour, I decided to stay on my bridge and use binoculars.

Hi Tim,
As always thank you for the link.
Next time you’re around give me a shout.

Hi Tim
What is your opinion of ISPS?
I hate it, but the only reason is that i cant take pictures of ships everywhere.
/Kristian
Hi Remco, I’ll try and catch up with you next time I’m in Antwerp.
Hi Kristian, I think the ISPS code is great! Only joking….I’m afraid it’s a fact of life these days, movement has been severely restricted in ports. It has also increased our work load and made it impossible for seafarers to go ashore in some places, you can’t go for a walk or cycle or anything. In US ports you can’t even change crew when you are alongside, you have to do it offshore. It’s here to stay, before long you may see more widespread security in towns and cities with checkpoints and metal detectors, the world isn’t getting safer…..
Thanks for commenting guys
