The balance of justice is obviously weighted in favour of one side according to this sign advertising the services of a solicitor in Wexford. I won’t say the name of the establishment for fear of legal repercussions, but I did note that it seemed to be closed or moving shop, but it was on the Crescent Quay, close to yer man John Barry. Who said the legal profession wasn’t honest? You know that their scales are fixed anyway.
I like this cartoon of Blind Justice…..

If you study it carefully, the weighting is on the side of the solicitors’ office. Clearly there is a subliminal suggestion here to both the lawbreakers and the wrongly accused of Wexford - the balance of justice will prevail in your favour provided you are represented by the solicitor who occupies that office…

Who needs to know the truth, as long as the price is right
He who seeks inequity must do inequity; equity will not suffer a wrongdoer to be without a solicitor; where the equities are equal the first reasonably good-looking bird prevails.
Women’s rea.

“Rea” means sale in Swedish, short for “realisation”, talk about criminal minds, Women’s rea indeed!
Have you yet translated my family motto - nihil illigitemi.. etc?

PS I’ll be having libations with Bock in Galway during the coming week, if you’re in port in Galway perchance, you are most welcome to join us? I’ll be the one smoking the Romeo y Julietta outside O’Neachtains, Bock will be the one wishing he was smoking a Romeo y Julietta inside O’Neachtains.

This next week I am attached to the ship in the service of those that are not going to grind me down, although they may have legitimacy on their sides, but thanks for the offer! Say “Hi” to His Bockness!
Bollix, I never noticed that and I walk under that sign going to and from work every day!
That crowd’s moved out to Drinagh, methinks, to that office carbuncle on the right as you head towards Rosslare.
They should have taken the sign with them! Moved out of town, like lots of business in Wexford, so everyone who drives to work has parking I s’pose….and the customers and everyone else who needs to park. I wonder what kind of sign they have on the new place?
