		<description>It was a once off for me, you could hear the ice groaning and scraping off the ships side, we lost a few microns of paint, and the steel got pushed in between the frames. Looked like an old washboard afterwards.</description>

		<description>can't say i've ever done a personnel transfer by stopping, letting the ocean freeze up around me and then land a helicopter on the ice.
i have seen helicopter transfers at sea, with the submarine bobbing like a cork in a bathtub, though.  you way looks a lot easier, and safer!</description>
