guess it doesn't matter what nationality or what flavor of sailor. i was a submariner in the USN, and can remember vividly the antics of one of my best friends. we had just gotten into port after a 4 month spec op (with no liberty ports). his sister was getting married in Chicago, so about 4 of us bought tickets and accompanied him home. drunken revelries onboard almost got us tossed in the slammer. the only reason we didn't get arrested was we were able to convince the law enforcement officers at O'Hare airport that we were just home from the sea, and letting off a little steam.
fun times were had by all. except for everybody else on the plane, i guess.

Been there in them seats too! We were on an Air France flight and the air-crew kept us company, we were place right forward of the pantry so the flow of drink was steady.
That was fairly harmless compared to drinking a whole bottle of booze, complete lack of control.

Aagh!! Reminds me of drunken seaman class on all those long flights joining and leaving ships. I remember being a 17 year old and a crusty Pan Am stewardess refusing more drink as it was the 6th time I had been to the pantry as I was a cadet and had been told to be the waiter for the rest of the guys in the last rows of the plane. We always were in "Drunken Seaman Class", the last 2 or 3 rows at the back of the plane.
